the challenge
The Southern Haemophilia Network (SHN) represents a pioneering initiative within the UK, being the first network of its nature. Commissioned by NHS England – Wessex, its primary objective is to ensure a uniform standard of care for patients with inherited and acquired bleeding disorders throughout the region. Following a rigorous tendering process, Expect More was chosen to spearhead the design and development of a new website. The website aims to promote the network, highlighting the invaluable services it offers to the haemophilia community, and showcase the dedicated support team behind its operations.
the solution
Expect More created the new website with three distinct navigational entry points, prioritising the ease of locating the nearest facility for users. The top-left section of the home page was divided into clear windows, reflecting visitors’ expectations upon entering the website. On the right-hand side, the four fundamental areas desired by the client were prominently featured. Furthermore, the top navigation offered links to other areas for visitors to explore. Each top-level area provided a clear secondary navigation, enabling users to delve deeper into specific sections without excessive clicks to reach their desired destination.

Expect More integrated advanced features to support the NHS’s future content marketing efforts, whilst refining navigation for improved user experience. The website was designed & developed using the client’s preferred CMS, WordPress, ensuring responsiveness across all devices, consistent with Expect More’s standards for all websites. Furthermore, seamless integration of on-page SEO services was executed to enhance the accuracy of web page indexing and representation within Google’s search engine results.
